Match Review: Livingston 0-2 Rangers..

Rangers continued their unbeaten start to life under new boss Philippe Clement with a comfortable victory in West Lothian.

Connor Goldson thought he had put Rangers ahead with a header early on, before his effort was ruled out by VAR. Ross McCausland then went close soon after following an impressive piece of play but couldn't quite keep his effort down. McCausland then won a penalty for the Light Blues, however the usually reliable Rangers captain James Tavernier saw his effort from the spot go wide of the post in the 23rd minute.

Rangers would take the lead just a few minutes later with a scuffed shot from Cyriel Dessers after an excellent through ball from midfielder Tom Laurence, before VAR denied Rangers again, with youngster Ross McCausland's strike being ruled out for an apparent foul by Sima in the Livingston penalty area.

Tavernier would get another chance from the penalty spot and this time he found the net in the 75th minute, all but securing the three points for the away side. Danilo would replace Dessers for the last half an hour and the Brazilian forward went close to adding a third in the closing stages but was denied by Livingston keeper George. The win leaves the Gers 8 points behind leaders Celtic, albeit with a game in hand.

Philippe Clement: "We deserved to win, that's clear. [VAR] is a very important thing for me - there are less mistakes. In general the game is more honest, so I'm a huge favourite of VAR.. We are going to work hard in the international break - there are a lot of things to do in the club. I'm here to work, not to have free time and enjoy life. My life is football."

Next up for Clement's side is cup final opponents Aberdeen at Pittodrie after the international break on Sunday, November 26, K/O midday.
