Steven Davis Retires..

Rangers hall of famer Steven Davis MBE has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 39. 

The former Northern Ireland midfielder played for Rangers over two spells from 2008 to 2012 and 2019 to 2024, making 371 appearances in total - he won 4 Scottish League Titles, 3 Scottish Cups and 3 Scottish League Cups as well as reaching the final of the UEFA Cup in 2008 and the Europa League final in 2022. 

Davis is the most capped player in Northern Ireland's history having registered 140 games for his country between 2005 and 2022.

He was appointed as interim manager of Rangers in October 2023 following the sacking of Michael Beale, talking charge of the first team for two games before the appointment of Philippe Clement.
