Rangers face Hearts at Hampden Park tomorrow afternoon (Sunday 5th Nov) in the semi final of the Viaplay Cup as they look to lift the trophy for the first time since the 2010-11 season, with Philippe Clement urging his players "not to be focused on medals and silverware".
Clement wants his players to concentrate on the "quality" of their performances. Clement: "If they do that every day and every game, silverware will be there at the end of the season".
On-loan Rangers midfielder Alex Lowry will be unavailable for Hearts, who are managed by former Rangers striker Steven Naismith - the Edinburgh club will also be without Nathaniel Atkinson, Craig Halkett, Barrie McKay and veteran goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
Rangers centre-back Ben Davies is "on the edge" of a return, with midfielder Tom Lawrence also in contention to make his return for the Ibrox side.
Rabbi Matondo, Kemar Roofe, Nicolas Raskin and John Souttar all remain sidelined for the Gers.
Rangers won the last meeting between the two sides in this competition 3-0 in the semi final four years ago in November 2019, before going on to lose to Celtic in the final the following month. Rangers also beat Hearts 2-0 in the Scottish Cup final in May 2022.
The winner will face Aberdeen in the final on December 17 following their 1-0 victory over Hibernian.
